Menu suggestion: turkey burger with red onions, mushrooms, muenster cheese (or other yummy cheese) honey mustard or other yummy sauce on yummy and delicious bread from local company.

  2. Jenny says:

and what about soups, chili’s, stews and crusty bread?

  3. Amy says:

    Something for the vegans!

  4. The more non-spicy items, the better! I can’t handle spicy or strong foods (peppers, hot sauce, onions) so anything more neutral would make me a happy panda :)

  5. Chucarlin says:

So happy to have found you guys today. Fantastic lunch, thank you!

  6. gary, the neighbor says:

Can’t wait to try your goodies!!!! If your food is as good when you had us over for dinner, I’m there!!!! See you soon, Gary

  7. Pat says:

    Great food!!

Buffalo Turkey Burgers!!! with homemade blue cheese. Celery, scallions chopped into the Turkey, then fried in a cast iron skillet, removed, melted butter, hot sauce, then burger dipped in sauce!!! Awesome!!!

For vegans – hot and sour soup

  8. Heather says:

Gluten free options, or at least listing what on your menu is already gluten free. I can usually figure it out or ask, but for a lot of people it’s just intimidating unless it’s already labeled that way.

  9. Sammi says:

Can you request leaving things off like cheese or onions??

Do you have a Fish Filet Sandwich ?

  10. LAni says:

How about some avocado on everything!

    • Thanks for the suggestion. But, until the weather warms up more and rocketeers come out of hibernation, we would most likely be throwing out overripe avocados.
Our winter menu was designed to deliver maximum freshness and quality while remaining seasonal. Then there is the philosophical issue of using local ingredients whenever possible.
Avocados, pineapples and mangos are all delicious, no doubt. But it just seems wrong that an underripe, often genetically modified fruit or vegetable is harvested, treated with some ripening inducing or inhibiting chemical, packed and then shipped thousands of miles to wind up in the grocery store with its own barcode affixed. This reflects a complete lack of connection to the land surrounding us and isolates us, usually within the blue hues of televised corporate evangelism.
But, I do say again, avocados, pineapples and mangos are glorious . . . they are just more glorious enjoyed in a hammock within earshot of swaying palms and blinding Caribbean light.

I notice that in September you said you were “working on” something for vegans. I sure don’t see anything on the menu. Still working? I mean, come on, guys – you want stuff that’s good for us and good for the environment – that’s vegan, all the way. At least ONE thing we can eat would be nice.

    • Hi, Deb, because our menu changes frequently you probably did not know that we have offered the following Vegan options (though not everyday) . . . a Fall Veggie Taco, Salads (ordered without cheese or animal protein), Tomato Soup, Curried Cauliflower Soup and Chickpea and Pasta Soup. Check each day’s menu to see if there is anything tempting. You may enjoy this vegetarian truck that is soon to open in the Hartford area, Gmonkey.

I finally got a taste of the Rocket! I loved my Green Chile Burger. It was just enough heat to satisfy my pallet. The crew was amazing and I wish them the best. We’ll see you again soon.

  15. Ken says:

Coming down today and I cannot wait!! I’m drooling at the thought of tasting that green chili burger!!
