The first Armory Farmers Market of the season is today and kicks off with a Seafood Throwdown. Our friend, Peter Gobin of Mijos Tacos and Colin Sepko of Julians will be competing. Peter is defending the crown he won in last year’s Throwdown against James Mark of North. Working in partnership with the Northwest Atlantic Marine Alliance and Slow Fish International the Seafood Throwdown works to raise awareness of what is considered local and plentiful in our area, as well as raising awareness about the deliciousness of under-appreciated, overlooked species.
Special treat on board . . . Zapp’s Voodoo Potato Chips. Made in Louisiana, these kettle-cooked potato chips have a spicy cajun taste to ‘em. Anyone showing us their voodoo doll gets a bag for free. *Offer limited to the first three voodoo practitioners.
